The Remote Servers dialog window stores information about all your
favorite FTP sites.
Creating a FTP Session Profile
To create a new session profile press the New button and
enter the required information such as a description for the site, FTP address, user name, password, etc.
If you wish for the local side of the FTP Client to automatically browse to a certain directory whenever
you connect to this site, enter the directory name in the text box.
A default remote directory can also be set up in the same fashion.
Press Save to save your new session.
Make sure to set up an initial remote directory if you plan on using the
Publish Wizard with the remote server.
Example:
If your site's root URL is in a /WWWRoot/home/ folder on the FTP site and you plan on using the
Publish Wizard to upload your site,
make sure to enter /WWWRoot/home/ as the initlal remote directory.
Removing a Session Profile
To remove a session, choose it in the drop-down list of sessions and press the
Delete button.
